November 2023
Dear Friend of Turning Point,
It has been an exciting year at Turning Point, Inc. (TPI), and we are asking our friends to once again consider a donation to our Annual Appeal, so that we can continue to provide the supports and services that help the individuals in our programs enjoy full participation in the community.
What does it mean for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be full participants in the community? Here at TPI, our goal is to maximize services while empowering individuals toward greater independence. Our hopes and dreams for the individuals we serve go beyond just being visible in the community to include participation in the cultural, recreational, and leisure activities that enrich all of our lives. The 150 individuals we serve, who reside in over 30 homes located throughout the Merrimack Valley and Northshore, have not only a “home for life”, but a home for their life that encompasses their individual hopes and dreams.
Our new video highlights the lives, hopes, and dreams of several TPI program participants. Lucy, an accomplished artist; John, an enthusiastic drummer; Daniel, who has a keen interest in historical research of events like the sinking of the Titanic; Jason, TPI receptionist, and Special Olympian; and Cam, also a TPI receptionist and aspiring performance artist. We hope you’ll watch, and we hope you’ll donate!
With Your donation of $25, $50, or $100, you are helping to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with safe and supportive housing as well as adapted supports and wrap-around services critical for their success. You are empowering these individuals to learn living and social skills, become volunteers, land jobs, and find a place of belonging in their communities. In short, you are helping to fulfill their hopes and dreams.
When you donate to Turning Point, you invest in your community. You show that you believe in the possibilities inherent in every human being. You create a more caring, inclusive, accessible, and diverse world, right in your own neighborhood. Help us fulfill hopes and dreams and help us change lives. Please give what you can and thank you again for your support. We could not do this work without you.
Sincerely,
Alan J. Klein
